From the dark into the light: Getting really clear on the direction of your studio
As a studio owner you probably fall into one of the following two categories:
1) You are overwhelmed with a whole heap of ideas buzzing around your head about which direction you’d like to take your studio, what your priorities are, how to attract new students to your studio and which strategy to implement first.
2) You just don’t know where to start. Maybe you’ve been in business for a while and you are feeling lost as to where to begin to attract and retain your students.
Either way, the only way out of the fog and into the light is with some serious planning!
Your CEO Date or CEO Power Hour
Taking time out to work ON your studio rather than IN your studio is tough. I get it! The studio is your “baby”! Without you, you feel as though things would fall apart.
Now I’m going to suggest that you take between 30-60 minutes every week to dedicate to your “CEO date” or “CEO Power Hour”.
Your Studio Audit
In your first CEO date I want you to conduct a complete audit of your studio.
In your Studio Audit you are going to rate every different aspect of your studio as a business. Everything from student retention, studio marketing, studio website, student enrollments, studio systems, social media….any category you can think of- pop it on your list.
Then, rank each category out of 10- 1 being the weakest and 10 being the strongest.
Select the three areas with the lowest score and highlight them. These are going to be your main focus over the next 90 days.
Quaterly Planning Retreat
In 3 months you can come back to this Studio Audit and review your progress. Having a quaterly planning retreat is so powerful in reviewing your goals and making a plan to jeep moving forward in a positive way for the next quater.
To help you with your Studio Audit, Day 1 of the #studioplanathon does just this!
The Planathon will be taking place between 21st-25th July 2016. Each day you will receive an email straight to your inbox full of all the details for your CEO date that day, resources to help you along the way and a short training video on the days topic. All you will need is half an hour every day for 5 days, pens, paper, highlighters and any other stationery you love to make your plans sing to your visually.
